Unlike any other type of museum, a film museum connects to people’s personal lives and memories. COORDINATION ASIA created an experience for the Shanghai Film Museum that is driven by interaction and dialogue, and that allows visitors to be an active participant in the story of Shanghai film. Over 15,000 sqm the museum shares the story of Shanghai filmmaking, from its magical beginning in 1886 to present day’s 3D blockbusters.
Continue readingA metal bench laser cut designed by Enrico Azzimonti produced by using an innovative productive approach: it is time to break the patterns and overcome the technological limitations that till now have bound the tube processing only to some application fields. It's conceived and projected for outdoor: made for stainless steel, it is resistant to weathering. The idea is to design a chair technically and ergonomically correct and, at the same time, flexible according to various forms of social aggregation.
Continue readingThis is a bottled water product sold only on an e-commerce site.Thirty bottles which have 6 different types of design are assorted in a box. We made the water itself the protagonist of the design. One side of the bottle has the small product title only,so that the patterns of the back are seen through the “refraction of water”. The patterns look differently according to the angle.Such effect increases the presence of natural water itself and the water looks more delicious through the bottle.
Continue readingThe Hex is a kite-like structure that can be inflated and supported in the air by wind. Generated by a computational process and made from lightweight fabric, the Hex belongs to a family whose members use space-grid geometries but can have different branching patterns, sizes or colors. While the Hex can be enjoyed as a unique air-borne sculpture in a variety of public events, it also serves as a research prototype in the development of inflatable architectural constructions that can be supported by wind rather than by artificially powered pumping systems.

So the study was focused on to increase the user experience by space and to expand the culture of story by design connecting the wide space of complex mall into one story. In collaboration with the illustrator, Janine Rewell, with the theme ‘Let’s play, Blue Paradise’, a story was made that animals and girls play together in summer in a magical island on deep blue sea to create the continuous storytelling for customers while shopping and moving.
