Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University

The university is located in Suzhou, where the famous Taihu stone is unearthed. The design of the Administration Information Building was inspired by the porous nature of the stone due to long time of erosion. The pores and holes are transformed into a void structure with functional spaces linking up different programmes of the building. The voids also allow the building to respond to the users and surrounding context and turn it into a vessel for interaction. The different heights of voids also create a three-dimensional Suzhou garden within the building.

Conspiracy - Sandal shaped jewels-

Gianluca Tamburini's line of "sandal/shaped jewels", called Conspiracy, was founded in 2010. Conspiracy shoes effortlessly combine technology and aesthetics. Heels and soles are made from materials such as lightweight alluminium and titanium, wich are cast in sculptural forms. The silhouette of the shoes are then highlighted by semi/precious stones and other lavish embellishments. High technology and cutting edge materials form a modern sculpture, having the shape of a sandal, but where the touch and experience of skilled Italian craftsmen are still visible.

Bridal Veil

This arts - art object with lights on. Spacious room with a ceiling of complex profile, like cumulus clouds. Chandelier fits in a space, smoothly flowing from the front wall to the ceiling. Crystal and white enamel leaves in conjunction with the elastic bending of thin tubes create the image of a flying veil over the world. The abundance of light and golden glow flying birds create a feeling of spaciousness and joy.

These are acts that sometimes last less than a second, and being so ephemeral, makes you run longuer in a shorter time. These are situations involving speed and high intensity. Nankin Lab is a design studio that recreates on these moments to generate new projects.

OSORO's innovative character is to combine the quality of high-grade vitrified porcelain and its typical ivory-colored glossy skin with the function suitable for preserving food in the refrigerator or freezer and for cooking with steam oven or microwave. The simple, modular shape with its various elements can be stacked to save space, flexibly combined and closed with a multi-colored silicone O-Sealer or O-Connector so that food stays well sealed in it. OSORO can be universally used eliminating the need for our daily life.
