Coca-Cola Tet 2014

To create a series of Coca-Cola cans which spread millions of Tet wishes nation wide. We utilized Coca-cola's Tet symbol (the Swallow Bird) as the device to form these wishes. For each can, hundreds of hand-drawn swallows were crafted and carefully arranged around a custom script, which together form a series of meaningful Vietnamese wishes. "An", means Peace. "Tai" means Success, "Loc" means Prosperity. These words are widely exchanged throughout the holiday, and traditionally adorn Tet decorations.

Screen House

The existing house was dark and poor cross ventilation. Therefore we propose a new concept to have large windows, but at the same time filtering the heat from the sun. The stairs acts as an airwell with a skylight and ventilation vents.Thus improving the air circulation in the house keeping it constantly cool. The screen on the external facade not only acts as shade from the sun but also giving privacy for the user as the neighbouring houses are built closely to each other.

Opx2

Opx2 is an optic installation that explores a symbiotic relationship between nature and technology. A relationship where patterns, repetition, and rhythm describe both natural formations and operations of computing processes. The installations reclusive geometry, momentary opacity and/or density are similar to the phenomenon of driving by a cornfield or explained in technology while looking at binary code. Opx2 builds complex geometry and challenges ones perception of volume and space.

Randen Arashiyama Station

Randen Arashiyama Station is located in central of Arashiyama and in opposite of Tenryuji-temple. The elegant lighting forest has been created in the platform with approx. 600 poles rapped with Kyoto Yuzen kimono fabrics. This station is hoped to be a special place for various people and give them a dramatic moment, so it was designed wishing it would bring happiness and give an ever-fresh image to everyone along with beautiful Kyoto sceneries.

Calendar 2014 “Botanical Life”
