Castles In Ceramics

Castles in Ceramics is a modular ceramic vase that also serves as tableware. The vase is formed of four parts that stack with stable and precise interlocking. When closed, the piece works as a decorative object for tables and sideboards, or as a pot for flowers. When opened, the four parts become separate bowls and containers for fruit or other food. Each part is shaped on a lathe or in a plaster mold and then hand painted in the traditional Castelli style. The vase is dishwasher safe and can be fired at different temperatures for food use.

When closed, the piece works as a decorative object for tables and sideboards, and it can also hold flowers. When the four parts are separated, each one serves as a bowl or a container. Every piece is decorated by hand in the traditional style of Castelli, an Italian village with a long history of ceramic craft. The pot is dishwasher safe.
