Trimas Refill Pod Jar

Trimas

The growing demand for sustainability is driving growth in the refill market, yet many jars lack premium appeal and ease of use. Conventional designs rely on films or liners that are discarded after opening, reducing branding value and requiring two handed operation. A refill pod jar with a flip top lid enables effortless one handed access. The product can be dispensed directly from the top without removing the main cap, and the empty pod can be easily replaced. Tethered caps and fewer components support convenience, branding, compliance, and sustainability.

Boat Biologs Bioremediating Floating Raft Gardens

Boat Biologs

Collaborating with the London boat community, these bioremediating floating gardens were designed to be built and installed by boat residents using accessible and locally sourced materials to fight canal water pollution. This collectively improves the quality of this shared water ecosystem whilst promoting the growth of native plants, insects and birds.

Cupcrete Papercups to Concrete

Cupcrete

The design addresses challenges in paper cup recycling by introducing a novel method to create a new eco-green material called Cupcrete, developed by two sisters. It is formulated by blending cement with shredded paper cups, which are then mixed with water to form a fluid mixture. This mixture is poured into molds and left to dry, transforming into bricks, tiles, panels, furniture, and home accessories. The design offers lightweight construction and boasts acoustic and thermal insulation properties, along with reduced cost and superior environmental advantages.

Walk Me Dog Leash

Walk Me

The handle is smooth yet rigid; its contours create an ergonomic, snug grip for the human hand but can also comfortably wrap around a human's wrist or arm. As the handle is rigid, it will not contract, so any tension from a dog pulling will not squish the human's hand (which is a design flaw in the conventional loop handle dog leashes). The distinctive handle pattern (splats, splotches and swirls of colour) are individual to each handle as they form uniquely from the hands-on moulding and baking process. The handle and rope are made from 100 percent post-consumer plastic.
